Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breaking separation type connection rod having enhanced strength by making a metallic structure to unwinding martensite without generating hardening crack during hardening and improved breaking separation property, a steel for breaking separation type connection rod which is a raw material for manufacturing the breaking separation type connection rod and a manufacturing method of them.SOLUTION: There is provided a steel for breaking separation type connecting rod having a DI value calculated by the following formula (1) of 55 to 200 mm and total area percentage of the unwinding martensite and bainite of 80 area% or more based on the whole metal structure. In the following formula (1), [] represents content of each element by mass%.
