Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the amount of steam generated by controlling the steam pressure to a steam turbine according to the generation amount and temperature of steam in a waste heat boiler in the case of introducing circulating gas heated by red heat coke into a waste heat boiler to generate steam, thereby generating power in the steam turbine.
SOLUTION: In a coke dry quenching power plant 2, circulating gas circulated by the operation of a circulating fan 3 is introduced in the counter current direction into a moving layer of red heat coke moving from an upper insert port 2a to the bottom, so that while the red heat coke is cooled by circulating gas, the circulating gas is heated. The heated circulating gas is introduced into the waste heat boiler 4 to generate steam, and a steam turbine 6 is operated by the steam to drive a power generator 7. At this time, in the case where the steam generation amount and the steam temperature in the waste heat boiler 4 are under the preset values, the steam pressure introduced into the steam turbine 6 is controlled to be kept under the initialized value and more than the other preset values so that the operation of the steam turbine can be continued.
