Abstract:
To provide a fixing structure for a stator shaft that can fix the stator shaft to a holding member such as a unit case without using a component dedicated to fixing such as a bolt.SOLUTION: A stator shaft 131 of a torque converter 4 integrally comprises a shaft body 132 having a cylindrical shape, and a knurled part 133 having a flange shape. An insertion hole 141, a first cylindrical surface 142, and a second cylindrical surface 143 are formed in a first case 11. The shaft body 132 of the stator shaft 131 is inserted into the insertion hole 141 of the first case 11 from one side. The knurled part 133 of the stator shaft 131 is press-fitted onto the first cylindrical surface 142. A ball bearing 144 is held on the second cylindrical surface 143. The outside diameter of the knurled part 133 is larger than the inside diameter of an outer race 145 of the ball bearing 144. An outer peripheral edge part 147 of the knurled part 133 is formed as a part in the stator shaft 131 closest to the ball bearing 144.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
