Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a spring assembly capable of expecting a reliable caulking state.
SOLUTION: The spring assembly comprises an annular plate 1B; and a compression coil spring 2. In a method for manufacturing the spring assembly where the compression spring 2 is assembled to the annular plate 1B, a tapered-off protrusion part 4B is formed on the annular plate 1B side, and by enlarging a diameter in a way to insert a punch 13 having a diameter part D4 larger than an inside diameter D3 of the tapered part of a tip from the tapered side of the tip of the protrusion part 4B, the large diameter joint part of the protrusion part 4B stretching to the tapered part of the tip is enlarged in a diameter along the surface of an end coil part 2b of the compression coil spring 2 along with enlargement of the diameter of the tapered part of the tip of the protrusion part 4B.
