To prevent the foreign matters in operating oil from entraining into the solenoid of a drive source and to improve a hydraulic vibration suppressing effect in a spool type hydraulic control valve.
A diaphragm 34 partitioning a sleeve 31 and a linear solenoid 11 is pinched at a junction of the sleeve 31 and the linear solenoid 11, a first oil chamber 36 is formed with the diaphragm 34 and a spool 32 at the right end section of the sleeve 31, and a first vibration damping orifice 37 communicated with the first oil chamber 36 is formed. A second oil chamber 43 concurrently serving as a spring storage chamber storing a return spring 42 is formed at the left end section of the sleeve 31, and a second vibration damping orifice 47 communicated with the second oil chamber 43 is formed. The vibration of the spool 32 at the time of an oil pressure adjustment is quickly damped by the actions of the vibration damping orifices 37, 47 on both sides. The foreign matters in the operating oil in the sleeve 31 are prevented from entraining into the linear solenoid 11 by the diaphragm 34.
