Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate risk of a secondary fluid contacting a spring and enhance the corrosion resistance, etc., by setting off a projection on a piston from an orifice when the primary pressure rises to cause piston movement against the action of the spring, and leading the fluid to the secondary side via the orifice.
CONSTITUTION: When the pressure of fluid (primary pressure) introduced from a lead-in port 12a rises, a piston 10 moves right against the action of a spring 11, and a projection in the form of a roud rod furnished at the tip of the piston 10 is set off from an O-ring 14a installed in the middle of an orifice 9, and the fluid flows toward a second joint 13 upon passing through a gap formed between an O-ring 14c and the projection on the piston 10. Meantime the fluid pressure on the outlet 13a side (secondary pressure) rises and the secondary side fluid is willing to flow to the primary side as counter-flow phenomenon, but because the area ratio of the pressure receiving surfaces is expressed by (D/d)2 where D is outside dia. of piston 10 and (d) is outside dia. of the projection on piston 10, counter-flow is prevented substantially if the dia. of projection is made considerably small.
