In the slide seal, in which the first member being smoothly movable relative to the second member, for hermetically sealing an annular clearance between the first and second members and being fitted into an annular installation groove provided in the second or first member, there are provided a high pressure seal that slidably slide-contacts a sliding surface of the first or second member; a lubricant holding piece provided on the low-pressure side of the high pressure seal to have a first lubricant holding part which opens on the opening side of the installation groove; and a lubricant seal provided on the low-pressure side of the first lubricant holding part for slidably slide-contacting the sliding surface.
