Abstract:
To improve the anticorrosiveness of a slide member.SOLUTION: The deep layer of a soft metal layer 5 is constituted by crystal particles of a small grain size, and large-size crystal particles (coarse crystals) 10 are disposed only in its surface layer, so that the number of grain boundaries on the surface is reduced. Thus, in the inventive slide member having a soft metal layer with laminated soft metal crystals, the number of the crystals appearing within any observation range of 32×40 μm in a vertical cross section from the surface of the soft metal layer, the observation range including the surface, is controlled to be 4-11 (where, crystals with a grain length of 1.0 μm or less are excluded), and the average grain size of the crystals not appearing on the surface of the soft metal layer is controlled to be 1.5 μm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
