To provide a digital terrestrial broadcasting of a single-frequency network that eliminates the need to acquire delay times of relay transmitting devices by relay transmitting devices and transmit respective delay time data to time transmitted wave outputs from respective transmitting devices, and does not require a reference clock of GPS, JJY, etc.
This digital terrestrial broadcasting system is provided with: a TS data signal transmitting device 1 and a base station; a transmitting device 2 of a base station; and relay transmitting devices R1 to Rn of relay stations. The system is constituted so that the TS data signal transmitting device 1, the transmitting device 2 for the base station and respective relay transmitting devices R1 to Rn are coupled with two-way TS data signal transmission lines Lf0 to Lrn so as to detect delay times needed to branch and transmit going-way and return-way signals of TS data signals from branch units Df1 to Drn and output the TS data signals with delays of the detected delay times.
