Title:
SILVER OXIDE CELL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5999660
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate an occurrence of a crack or a chip of a molded positive electrode and prevent the cell performance from being deteriorated by adding silver ( I ) oxide as an active material and fluorogrease as a mold releasing agent to a positive electrode black mix.

CONSTITUTION: Silver ( I ) oxide as an active material and fluorogrease as a mold releasing agent are contained in a positive electrode black mix 1. For example, 100pts.wt. of silver ( I ) oxide powder, 1pt.wt. of Teflon grease, and 75pts.wt. of carbon tetrachloride are stirred for one hour and fully kneaded. After kneading, it is dried by heating at 60∼80°C for 10hr to evaporate carbon tetrachloride, and after a block-like object thus obtained is crushed with a crusher, it is pressurized and molded at 5t/cm2 to form a molded positive electrode black mix 1. A button-type silver oxide cell is produced by using this black mix in a normal method.
