Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily obtain quietness and vibration damping performance by providing a cylindrical molding, formed of a thermoplastic resin composition with the loss tangent being the specific value or larger, with such a characteristic that the outer diameter is increased while the length is reduced at the time of being heated to the fusing point or lower.

CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical or columnar molding is obtained from a thermoplastic resin composition formed of block copolymerized polyester with tan δ0.05 or larger in a temperature area of 10°C-30°C composed of amorphous polyester part with the fusing point 100°C or lower and mainly composed of aromatic dicarboxylic acid and glycol of 5 or more in carbon number, and thermoplastic polyester part with the fusing point 150°C or higher. This molding has such a characteristic that the outer diameter is increased while the length is reduced at the time of being heated to the fusing point or lower. This molding is inserted into a metal pipe and heated to the fusing point or lower. The shape is thereby restored, and the molding is fixed adhering closely to the inside of the pipe. Excellent vibration damping performance is thereby obtained, and the generated sound pressure at the time of impact can be lowered.
