To provide a shaft body retainer capable of provisionally retaining a shaft body stably without requiring much space, and of securing it reliably.
The shaft body retainer is to retain fast the shaft body of columnar shape by engaging a first retaining means and a second retaining means with each other, wherein the first and second retaining means have been assembled provisionally, and the retainer has a space enough to admit mounting of the shaft body in the condition that the two retaining means are separated. Because the shaft body is retained fast by shaft holding means provided on the first and second retaining means in the condition that the first and second retaining means are approached and fitted together, it is possible to provisionally retain the shaft body stably without requiring space and secure certainly.
