Abstract:
To reduce labor for incorporating a self-aligning thrust roller bearing to a bearing box and reduce a necessary amount of grease.SOLUTION: A self-aligning thrust roller bearing includes a shaft washer 1, a housing washer 2, multiple rollers 3, and a retainer 4 formed by a metal plate. The retainer 4 has a flange part 16 which is bent to a position facing an outer diameter surface 10 enclosing a flange part 9 of the shaft washer 1 in a radial direction. A shield plate 5 is attached to the flange part 16. The shield plate 5 has a protruding part 20 facing a gap 19 between the flange part 16 and the housing washer 2. The protruding part 20 is disposed at an extension of a raceway surface 7 of the housing washer 2 and prevents scattering of grease in the bearing which is sent by pump effect.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
