Abstract:

To provide a self-aligning roller bearing in which a DLC coating part is formed on a rolling surface of a roller, and its film thickness is limited to 1 to 2 μm to prevent peeling of coating, so that it is possible to maintain effects of DLC coating.SOLUTION: A self-aligning roller bearing comprises: an inner ring 3 and an outer ring 7 arranged to be relatively rotatable; and two rows of rollers 11, ..., 11 incorporated between a raceway surface 5 provided on the inner ring 3 and a raceway surface 9 provided on the outer ring 7. The rollers 11, ..., 11 are provided with a DLC coating part 13 on their rolling surfaces. The DLC coating part 13 is mainly composed of tungsten carbide and carbon, and has a film thickness of 1 to 2 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
