Abstract:
To provide a seal member for a wheel bearing device in which side lips do not face-contact with a side plate part of a slinger by preventing the absorption of the side lips resulting from a vacuum in a lip clearance, and rotation torque is not increased, and the wheel bearing device having the seal member for the wheel bearing device.SOLUTION: In a seal member 5 for a wheel bearing device in which tip edges of side lips 54a, 54b contact with a side plate part 51b of a slinger 51, and a tip edge of a grease lip 54c contacts with or approximates a fitting part 51a of the slinger 51, a step part 54d extending along a fitting part of a core grid 53 is formed at an elastic member 54, and when a pressing force is applied to the side plate part 51b of the slinger 51, the slinger 51 abuts on the step part 54d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
