Abstract:
For recovering scandium from an acidic solution containing at least scandium and chromium via an ion-exchange treatment using a chelate resin, the present invention provides a method for efficiently concentrating the scandium while suppressing reductions in chelate resin productivity. In a method for recovering scandium from an acidic solution that contains at least scandium and chromium, the present invention is characterized by comprising an ion-exchange treatment step for adsorbing the scandium in the acidic solution onto a chelate resin by bringing the acidic solution into contact with the chelate resin, and thereafter obtaining a scandium eluate, wherein the acidic solution is brought into contact with the chelate resin in the ion-exchange treatment step with the temperature of the acidic solution being held in the range from above 20°C up to and including 50°C.
