Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the variation of the spring load which acts onto a valve with time by arranging a spring which acts in the reverse direction namely opening direction, other than the spring which acts in the direction of closing of the safety valve. CONSTITUTION:The discharge pressure P2 of a safety valve for energizing a spring 14 in the direction of closure of a valve 12 is determined by the opening area of a valve seat 4 and the difference between the loads of the spring 13 and the spring 14. Although the opening area of the valve seat 4 is constant, the load of spring decreases with the number of years in use. However, the force for pressing the valve 12 in the direction of closure is due to the difference of loads of the springs 13 and 14, and the reduction of each spring load can be offset, so variation with number of years is little on the whole.
