To provide a rotation transmission device that is structured such that mis-engagement of a two-way clutch can be prevented, and leakage of magnetic flux can be reduced in an engagement state of an armature.
An electromagnetic clutch 20 is arranged in addition to the two-way clutch 10. The electromagnetic clutch 20 is formed with the armature 21, a rotor 22, and an electromagnet 23 attracting the armature 21 to the rotor 22 by carrying a current thereto. A mis-engagement prevention ring 27 is fixed to an inside-diameter part of the armature 21; a claw 29 is formed in an inner periphery of the armature 21; a cutout part 30 is formed on an end surface of an inner ring 2; and mis-engagement of the two-way clutch 10 is prevented by rotating a cage 14 with the inner ring 2 by fitting the claw 29 to the cutout part 30 in free rotation of the inner ring 2. By forming the mis-engagement prevention ring 27 with a non-magnetic material, leakage of magnetic flux from the inside-diameter part of the armature 21 is reduced in attracting the armature 21.
