Abstract:
To stably caulk and fix a supporting shaft 5c having a smaller diameter, at both ends to a pair of supporting wall portions 4c, 4c at lower costs.
Center holes 24, 24 are opened to both end faces of the supporting shaft 5c. Steel balls 28, 28 constituting caulking tools 26, 26 are strongly pushed against the inside of opening portions of both center holes 24, 24 at their axially opposite sides. The pushing work plastically deforms the supporting shaft 5c at both ends outward in the radial direction and supports and fixes the supporting shaft 5c at both ends onto both supporting wall portions 4c, 4c. The steel balls 28, 28 are obtained at lower costs and hard to damage in the pushing work.
