Abstract:
To reduce basement torque, in a rotation brake device for moving a magnetic body by a centrifugal force, and generating a brake force when a rotational speed is higher than the case that the rotational speed is low.SOLUTION: A rotation brake device comprises: a rotating shaft 2; a rotor 3; a turning member 4; a first cylinder member 5; a second cylinder member 6; a magnetic viscous fluid 7 charged into a clearance S between the first cylinder member and the second cylinder member; an energization member 19; and a magnet 8. The turning member 4 turns to a centrifugal side by a centrifugal force. The energization member 19 energizes the turning member 4 to an axial line 12 side. An engagement part 4b and an engaged part 5a are formed at the turning member 4 and the first cylinder member 5. The rotor 3, the turning member 4, the first cylinder member 5 and the second cylinder member 6 are constituted of magnetic bodies. When the turning member 4 is engaged with the first cylinder member 5, a magnetic path is formed from one magnetic pole 22 up to the other magnetic pole 23 via at least the rotor 3, the turning member 4, the first cylinder member 5, the magnetic viscous fluid 7 and the second cylinder member 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
