Abstract:
To provide a rotary actuator capable of improving endurance of a rotation regulation mechanism regulating rotation of a rotor, and to provide a robot including the same.SOLUTION: A rotation regulation mechanism 30 of rotary actuator has an annular rotation side regulation member 31 fixed to a rotor 11, a regulation unit 32 including regulation pins (regulation member) 33 inserted between multiple protrusions 31a formed on the outer peripheral surface of the rotation side regulation member 31 in the hoop direction and regulating movement of the rotation side regulation member 31 in the hoop direction, and a drive mechanism 40 for moving the regulation pins 33 in the axial direction of the rotor 11. The rotary actuator further includes a support part 71 for supporting the regulation unit 32 movably in one direction where the distance of the center of the rotation side regulation member 31 and the regulation pins 33 becomes variable in a plane perpendicular to the axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
