Abstract:
To provide a rolling bearing of which the durability is improved against hydrogen embrittlement under the conditions that oil film shortage easily occurs.SOLUTION: A rolling bearing includes an inner ring, an outer ring, and rolling elements. The rolling bearing is mounted to a mechanical structure in which the inner ring is positively/reversely rotated relative to the outer ring or the inner ring is rotated relative to the outer ring from the static state. At least one of the inner ring, the outer ring, and the rolling elements is made of steel, and has a surface layer part as a region having a distance up to 20 μm from the surface. The steel includes carbon having 0.70 mass % to 1.10 mass %, silicon having 0.15 mass % to 0.35 mass %, manganese having 0.30 mass % to 0.60 mass %, chrome having 1.30 mass % to 1.60 mass %, vanadium having 0.50 mass % or smaller, and molybdenum having 0.50 mass % or smaller, and the rest is iron and inevitable impurities.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
