To enhance abrasion resistance and provide a bearing with high durability, by constituting at least an outer ring and an inner ring, which include a rolling face respectively, of synthetic resin, and by forming on the surface of a rolling member a resin coat including the same synthetic resin.
The combination of an outer ring 2 of synthetic resin with an inner ring 1 of metal, the combination of the inner ring 1 of synthetic resin with the outer ring 2 of metal, and the combination of the outer ring 2 with the inner ring 1 of the same synthetic resin are possible to be built. Surface coats of rolling faces and a rolling member 3 are preferably made from synthetic resin, such as polyimide resin and polyallylenesulfide resin, having heat resistant temperature of 100°C or more and film thickness of 2 to 70 μm. One method is to form the resin coat on the surface of the rolling member 3 by press contact and sliding a synthetic resin plate on the rolling member 3. Another method is a tumble method in which the rolling member 3 is thrown into a mesh basket, the basket is turned, liquid including resin coat agent is applied to the rolling member 3 and the rolling member 3 is dried so that the application and the dry are conducted alternatively and repeatedly, and then the resin coating is burnt at a predetermined burning temperature. Accordingly, a film thickness is easily adjusted, and thick and uniform coat can be obtained, resulting in excellent abrasion resistance and durability.
