Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing capable of preventing rollers from being dropped while its assembling workability is being improved.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a roller bearing having an outer ring, an inner ring, several rollers and a cage. The cage has a pair of annular parts at both ends in an axial direction and a column part connecting a pair of annular rings to each other, pockets for storing the rollers are defined by the pair of annular rings and the column part. A side surface at an inner peripheral side of the cage at the column part is formed with guide surfaces for guiding the rollers when the rollers are moved from the inner peripheral side of the cage to a direction where they pass through the pockets, the inner peripheral side of the cage is provided with a recess passing and extending through the pair of annular rings and the column part in an axial direction of the cage, and a depth of the recess is set to a size slightly larger than a length from the inner peripheral surface of the cage to a final end of the outer peripheral side at the guide surface as seen from the radial direction of the cage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
