To provide a cage for a roller bearing which can be assembled by pressure-insertion of rollers without reducing, to a feasible extent, a circular arc shape for holding outside diameter faces of the rollers in a pocket, and which can suppress occurrence of the state where the rollers are bitten in and hardly separated from an inlet part at the rotation of the bearing, transportation and the assembling of the bearing.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a cage 1 for a roller bearing in which rollers 4 are assembled by pressure-insertion. One column-side face 8a of a pocket 6 is formed into a cross section shape having a circular arch shape for holding outside diameter faces of the rollers 4. The other column-side face 8b is formed into a cross section shape including a circular arc shape part 8ba and a linear shape part 8bb continuing to an inlet side. The circular arc shape part 8ba and the linear shape part 8bb are changed at a certain point as a starting point, the linear shape part 8bb extends in a tangent direction with respect to a circular arc of the circular arc shape part 8ba at the starting point, and a diameter of the inlet side of the pressure-insertion of the rollers 4 is larger than a diameter of the other side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
