To provide a reverse input shut-off clutch which can shut off the transmission of fixed-direction reverse input torque by a simple structure.
A torque transmission means is provided between an input side member 3 and an output side member 4, a hook 5a of one end of a coil spring 5 arranged inside the inner circumferential cylindrical surface of a fixed member 2 is fixed to the output side member 4, and an unlocking piece 3d is provided facing a hook 5b of the other end of the coil spring 5 in the input side member 3 to form a spring clutch so that there may be constituted the reverse input shut-off clutch which can shut off the transmission of the fixed-direction reverse input torque, and can transmit input torque in any direction. The reverse input shut-off clutch has a simpler structure, needs a smaller number of parts and takes smaller man-hour in assembling and maintenance than a conventional clutch where a plurality of rolling elements and an elastic member are incorporated between an outer wheel and an inner wheel.
