Abstract:

A reverse input blocking device (50) wherein an input shaft and an output shaft are on the same axis and a clutch (10) is disposed between facing flanges (1a, 2a) on the ends of both shafts. A radial bearing (4a) is interposed between a casing (3) and the input and output shafts, a thrust bearing (4b) is interposed between the casing (3) and both flanges (1a, 2a), and the input and output shafts are supported to rotate freely in the casing (3) by these bearings (4a, 4b). When the input and output shafts rotate, because the rotation in the thrust direction is borne by the thrust bearing and the rotation in the radial direction is borne by the radial bearing, the rotational frictional resistance is decreased, and the input and output shafts rotate smoothly.
