Abstract:
To provide a reverse input cutoff clutch capable of easily switching between a state where rotations of an output-side member are blocked and a state where the rotations of the output-side member are allowed with respect to a reverse input torque.SOLUTION: A reverse input cutoff clutch is configured by combining a reverse input cutoff mechanism 1 with an operation control mechanism 2. In a state where an outer wheel 5 arranged radially outside of an output shaft (output-side member) 4 is restricted in a non-rotatable manner, the reverse input cutoff mechanism transmits rotations of an input shaft (input-side member) 3 to the output shaft 4 and, with respect to a reverse input torque that is applied to the output shaft 4, blocks the rotations of the output shaft 4 by locking the output shaft 4 with the outer wheel 5. During no operation, the operation control mechanism restricts the outer wheel 5 of the reverse input cutoff mechanism 1 in the non-rotatable manner and releases the outer wheel 5 in a freely rotatable manner via manual operation. If the operation control mechanism 2 is not operated, a state where rotations of the output shaft 4 are blocked with respect to the reverse input torque can be provided and only by manually operating the operation control mechanism 2, such a state can be easily switched to a state where the rotations of the output shaft 4 are allowed with respect to the reverse input torque.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
