Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a phase relaxation time is very short in conventional proposals by Barenco, etc., because of the use of inter-subband electrons and the problem that technology of a very-short light pulse laser is not available since subband transition wavelength is in the far infrared range and very-fast control is impossible.
SOLUTION: As for a quantum logic element which uses the electron state of a semiconductor quantum structure, inter-polarization interaction between excitons having polarization in a semiconductor quantum well structure is used. Further, spin exchange interaction between spin-deflected excitons in the semiconductor quantum well structure is used.
