Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe end protector which is excellent in seal performance and attachment/detachment performance with respect to a pipe end even if a fluid passage diameter of the pipe end is varied, and a piping product.SOLUTION: A pipe end protector which is detachably attached to a valve box end 32 having an internal peripheral wall face 31b forming a fluid passage 31a, and an annular end face 31d crossing with the internal peripheral wall face 31b comprises: a cylindrical part 2 in which an in-cylinder space inserted into the valve box end 32 is closed; a retention outward-protruding part 3 which is formed an external peripheral face of the cylindrical part 2, pressure-contacts with the internal peripheral wall face 31b of the valve box end 32, and is engaged therewith; an annular flange part 4 which is integrally formed at the cylindrical part 2 so as to oppose the annular end face 31d of the valve box end 32 while separating from the outward-protruding part 3 in a center axial line direction of the cylindrical part 2; and a tapered seal part 6 which is located between the outward-protruding part 3 and the annular flange part 4 in the center axial line direction, has an external peripheral tapered face 5 which is inclined so that a radius becomes larger than the outward-protruding part 3 at the annular flange part 4 side, and makes the external peripheral tapered face 5 engaged with an end peripheral edge portion 31e of the fluid passage 31a of the valve box end 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
