PURPOSE: To produce a lined metal pipe consisting of a metal pipe and a synthetic resin pipe bonded strongly and closely without being released.

CONSTITUTION: A heat-sensitive adhesive having an iron powder mixed therewith is applied to the outer or inner peripheral surface of a synthetic resin pipe 2 and this coated synthetic resin pipe is internally or externally fitted to a metal pipe 1 to be introduced into an induction heating coil 3. The metal pipe 1 and the iron powder mixed with the heat-sensitive adhesive are allowed to generate heat in the induction heating coil 3 and the synthetic resin pipe softened to be expanded or shrunk is closely bonded to the inner or outer peripheral surface of the metal pipe 1 through the adhesive. By this constitution, the metal pipe and the synthetic resin pipe are strongly bonded to obtain a lined metal pipe generating no release.
