The substance having the photocatalystic performance and the substance 10 for activating the photocatalystic performance are incorporated in the base material such as glaze, pottery body, resin, electroplating, and enamel to impart the photocatalystic performance to a pottery product 9 such as tile, sanitation fixture and ceramic product. In the case that the base material is the glaze, as the substance having the photocatalystic performance, the substance normally incorporated in the enamel: e.g. single or plural oxides such as K2O, Na2O, CaO, ZnO, MgO, Li2O BaO, Al2O3, B2O3, Co2O3, NiO, MoO3, Pr6O11, P2O5, and BeO are used. Also as the substance 10 for activating the photocatalystic performance, single or plural kinds among Ag, Cu, Pt, Pd, Fe, Co, Ni and Au are listed.
