Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a very large thrust with a simple structure by projecting a piston rod of a pressure augmention cylinder into the cylinder chamber of another cylinder connected to the pressure augmention cylinder for constructing a pressure augmention hydraulic cylinder. CONSTITUTION:For operating a cylinder A only, at first, a cylinder 7 is raised and a valve 10a is closed to fix a pressure augmentation cylinder B. Then, when hydraulic oil of a hydraulic pressure P is supplied to a cylinder chamber 1a, a piston 11 is pushed down, and a piston rod 3 obtains a thrust F1 given as F1=PS1(S1; the effective area of the piston 11). Subsequently, when a valve 5a is closed and the hydraulic oil is pushed into a cylinder chamber 6a to allow a piston rod 8 to project into the cylinder chamber 1a, the hydraulic oil of a hydraulic pressure P.S2/s2 (S2; the effective area of the piston 7, s2; the sectional area of the piston rod 8) is pushed into the chamber 1a, and consequently, the piston rod 3 obtains a thrust F1 given as F1=P.S1S2/s2.
