Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve further reduction in size and weight of a forward/backward movement switching mechanism arranged on the downstream side of a crank type continuously variable transmission.SOLUTION: A torque transmission path from an output shaft 12 to a foot shaft 44 is divided into a path in which torque flows from a sun gear 45 to a carrier 46 of a first planetary gear mechanism P1, and a path in which torque flows from a ring gear 47 to the carrier 46 of the first planetary gear mechanism P1, and a forward clutch Cf is arranged in the former path, which is one of the paths. Thus, reduction in size and weight can be achieved for a power transmission device for a vehicle by using the one whose torque transmission capacity is smaller in the forward clutch Cf. Especially, as the torque flowing into the carrier 46 from the sun gear 45 is smaller than the torque flowing into the carrier 46 from the ring gear 47, by arranging the forward clutch Cf in the path from the sun gear 45 to the carrier 46 in which the small torque flows, the one whose torque transmission capacity is smaller can be used in the forward clutch Cf.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
