PURPOSE: To facilitate the confirmation of bad pipe insertion in a pipe joint composed of a joint body provided with a cylindrical protruding part in which a connecting pipe is fitted and a nut, by making at least the side of the pipe holding part of a nut transparent or semi-transparent so that the end of the connecting pipe may be confirmed from the outer face of the nut.
CONSTITUTION: The joint body 1 of a pipe joint is unitedly formed of an external thread part 11, a cylindrical protruding part 12 having a plurality of volute peripheral projections 13 and a tapered outer face, a connecting external thread part 15 to other apparatus, and a hexagon part 14 for hanging tools, and the internal thread part 21 of the nut 2 can be threadedly engaged with the external thread part of the joint body 1. The nut 2 is fastened in a state where a connecting pipe 4 is fitted in the cylindrical protruding part 12 to sandwichedly hold the connecting pipe 4 between the cylindrical protruding part 12 and the nut 2 for fixing the connecting pipe 4. In this case, the nut 2 is formed of transparent or semi-transparent synthetic resin such as polysulfone, ABS resin. Thus the end part of the connecting pipe 4 can be surely confirmed by ones eye from the outer face of the nut 2 to remove the bad insertion of the connecting pipe.
