Abstract:

To provide a quill, a winder, a device, and a method which are so improved that a film or other medium is easily gripped to be wound without using a vacuum and easily releasable.

The pinch quill has a shank, a core, and a covering part device. The core is able to rotate on a long shaft. The core includes a recessed sector and an adjacent recessed sector. A covering part is fitted coaxially on the core. The covering part is able to rotate on the shaft together with the core. The covering part includes an external surface, an internal surface, and a long- shaft directional slot extending between the external and internal surfaces. The slot is made narrow on the internal surface toward a throat part. The internal surface includes a grip surface separated from the throat part. The grip surface is arrayed with the recessed sector and a chock sector along the long shaft. The covering part is able to swivel on the shaft between 1st angle arrangement and 2nd angle arrangement around the core.
