Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PET bottle selector capable of achieving a high PET bottle removal ratio by reliably removing a PET bottle with a piercing needle at a high speed regardless whether there is residual drink in the bottle or not.SOLUTION: A piercing unit 50 is provided opposite a container carrying line 20. The piercing unit 50 has a large number of piercing needles 52 arranged in two directions including the longitudinal direction parallel to the conveyance direction and the lateral direction at a right angle to the conveyance direction, and the piercing needles 52 are selectively driven to advance toward and retreat from the carrying line 20 for piercing a PET bottle 10 on a line. The piercing unit 50 is also rotatably journaled by a support shaft 41 in the line lateral direction, and is rotatably moved to a retreated position oriented to line downstream side from a piercing position opposite the container conveyance line through rotary operation about the support shaft 41, and removes the PET bottle 10 from the piercing needles 52 in the retreated position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
