To provide a matte-type penetrating waterproofing composition and a waterproof structure having excellent crack resistance and produced by applying the composition to e.g. a mortar-lined cast iron pipe.
The penetrating waterproofing composition is composed of (A) a vinyl polymer containing a styrenic aromatic monomer unit and an n-butyl methacrylate unit, (B) n-hexyltrimethoxysilane (B-1) or n-hexyltrimethoxysilane (B-2) and γ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane, and (C) fine aluminum oxide particles having an average primary particle diameter of ≥3 nm and ≤70 nm, wherein the amount of the component (B) is ≥10 pts.wt. and ≤1,000 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component (A), and that of the component (C) is ≥1 pt.wt. and ≤50 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the sum of the component (A) and the component (B). The invention further provides a waterproof structure produced by applying the penetrating waterproofing composition to an inorganic substrate.
