Title:
OVERLOAD PROTECTOR FOR SNOW BLOWER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3771458
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overload protector for a snow blower, which is simple in structure and can prevent application of an overload on a power transmission passage of the snow blower.
SOLUTION: The overload protector is comprised of a boss portion 41, a slide washer 45, a washer detecting switch 53, and an engine stopping means 120. The boss portion 41 is fitted into a worm wheel 38 in a relatively rotatable manner, and mounted on an auger shaft 22 as one body. The slide washer 45 restricts a rotational angle of the boss portion 41, and has wheel-side projections 67 which are adjacent to the worm wheel 38 and face to wheel side projecting portions 64 formed on a side surface of the worm wheel 38. The washer detecting switch 53 detects sideways movement of the slide washer 45 when the wheel-side projections 67 run on the wheel side projecting portions 64 due to the relative rotation between the worm wheel 38 and the boss portion 41. The engine stopping means 120 forcedly stops operation of an engine 15 in response to an ON signal from the washer detecting switch 53.
