Abstract:
To provide an optical signal processing apparatus and an optical signal processing method that can acquire a real part and an imaginary part of complex-amplitude of two polarization waves having orthogonal signal light, using a simple constitution.SOLUTION: An optical signal processing apparatus 10 causes signal light to interfere with first local oscillation light and second local oscillation light having polarization states being orthogonal to each other in an interference unit 15, and generates first interference light through fifth interference light, in which the signal light interferes with each of the first local oscillation light and the second local oscillation light with different phase relationships. A light receiving unit 16 receives the first interference light through the fifth interference light to output a first light receiving signal through fifth light receiving signal, and a difference unit 17 generates a first differential signal through a fourth differential signal which are differences between signals of the first light receiving signal through the fifth light receiving signal. A digital signal processing unit 18 calculates a real part component and an imaginary part component of complex-amplitude of two polarization waves having orthogonal signal light, on the basis of the first differential signal through the fourth differential signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
