Abstract:
To provide a technique that is advantageous in improving an optical characteristic of an optical component.SOLUTION: An optical component includes a base and a multilayer film including a first layer group provided on the base and a second layer group provided between the first layer group and the base. A first dielectric layer and a second dielectric layer are alternately stacked in the second layer group, a third dielectric layer and a fourth dielectric layer are alternately stacked in the first layer group, a refractive index of the first dielectric layer is higher than a refractive index of the second dielectric layer, a refractive index of the third dielectric layer is higher than a refractive index of the fourth dielectric layer, the composition of the first dielectric layer and the composition of the second dielectric layer are different from each other, the first dielectric layer contains a compound of a first metal element, and the third dielectric layer contains a compound of a second metal element different from the first metal element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
