Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011075065
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an oil ring for an internal combustion engine capable of reducing frictional force relative to an inner wall surface of a cylinder bore without increasing the oil consumed quantity, and capable of reducing hits thereof on the inner wall surface of the cylinder bore even in a high engine speed region.

In the oil ring for an internal combustion engine, a first rail and a second rail of an oil ring body respectively include a curve part and a straight part in the cross sectional shape of a peripheral surface of the rail in the axial directional cross section of the oil ring body. The straight part is inclined toward an axis side of the oil ring body as it comes to any one of an upper surface side and a lower surface side of the oil ring, and the inclined tip of the straight part includes a curve part.
