Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pump drive unit which is reducible in the size of a starter motor while enabling the starter motor to drive an oil pump during a stop of an engine.SOLUTION: An oil pump drive unit comprises: an oil pump which is connected to a pump impeller of a torque converter, and driven by a drive force of an internal combustion engine; a first one-way clutch which is arranged between the oil pump and the pump impeller, transmits the drive force to the oil pump side from the pump impeller side, and does not transmit the drive force to the pump impeller side from the oil pump side; and a bypass shaft which is connected to the starter motor at a time other than a start of the internal combustion engine, and transmits the drive force of the starter motor to the oil pump not via a drive force output shaft.
