A raw material sheet 10B is prepd. by transfer forming of a metal layer 12 on the surface of a raw material sheet consisting of a nonwoven fabric and a tray 4 is prepd. by press molding of the raw material sheet 10B into a specified shape while the raw material sheet 10B is heated or under a preheated condition so as to position the metal layer 12 to the outside. It is possible thereby to realize a tray 4 with a non-mirror surface and agreeable metal luster and with a touch as a nonwoven fabric being floated on the surface of a metal layer and a high class feeling.
