Abstract:

To provide a new compound efficiently extracting and isolating a metal element (a minor actinoid element, in particular) present in an acidic aqueous solution into an organic phase.

There is provided an N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-pyrazinylmethyl)ethylenediamine derivative represented by formula (I) [in the formula, R11 to R14 each is the same or different and represents hydrogen or a hydrocarbon group each present on the individual pyrazine ring and between the four pyrazine rings, provided that at least one hydrocarbon group is present on each of the pyrazine rings].
