PURPOSE: To make the translation control and the rotary control of a light beam non-interference and to position at high speed by making the center of the translation control and the center of the rotary control of the light beam coincide.
CONSTITUTION: The respective output signals of detectors 11, 12 detecting the light beams of #1 and #4 in an equal distance from the center position of a beam column are inputted respectively to positional error detecting circuits 13, 14, and positional error signals in the both ends of the beam column are generated. The output signals of the circuits 13, 14 are inputted to an adder 15 and a subtracter 16, a first reference positional signal and a second reference signal are generated. The first reference positional signal is used as the driving signal of a lens actuator translating multi-beams. Further, the second reference positional signal is used as the driving signal of a relative deviation actuator rotating the multi-beams. Thus, the translation and the rotary control are processed independently and pallalel, the positioning of the multi-beams are performed at high speed.
