To provide a moisture-absorbing/releasing leather like nonwoven fabric and a method for producing the same scarce in sticky feeling under high temperatures and high humidity in summer and having moisture controlling function originating from the moisture-absorbing/releasing properties, excellent in leather like appearance, price, water repellency, abrasion resistance, tensile properties or the like, having soft and warmly feeling.
This moisture-absorbing/releasing leather like nonwoven fabric is obtained from a nonwoven fabric comprising fibers having a fineness of 0.3 to 10 dtex, and includes fine moisture-absorbing/releasing particles and a binder resin and the coefficients of moisture absorption a and b under following conditions satisfy following equations (1)-(3). (1), 10≤a≤100, (2), 2≤b≤40, (3), 6≤(a-b), in which a (wt.%) is a coefficient of moisture absorption after equilibrium moisture absorption at 20°C and 90% RH, and b (wt.%) is a coefficient of moisture absorption after equilibrium moisture absorption at 20°C and 45% RH.
