To provide a mixing faucet capable of preventing wasteful use of hot water by discharging only cold water with an operation lever set at a front position.
The mixing faucet has a fixed valve, a movable valve slidably superposed and arranged on the fixed valve, and a lever handle for operating the movable valve, a hot water discharge quantity from an opening and temperatures of the discharged hot water can be adjusted by vertically turning the lever handle and by horizontally turning the lever handle, respectively, the faucet has a resistant member providing resisting feeling to the temperature adjusting operation, the opening of the movable valve communicates with only the water flowing in valve hole of the fixed valve when carrying out the opening operation of the lever handle by the vertical turning with the lever handle positioned at the center of the horizontal turning range, the resistant member generates strong resistant feeling when turning the lever handle from the state where the lever handle is located at the center of the horizontal turning range to the high temperature side in the temperature adjusting operation.
