Abstract:
To stop the operation of a gaseous hydrogen production system without depending on an inert gas.
In the system for producing gaseous hydrogen by gasoline reforming or the like, the remaining gas in the system is purged by the following procedure to stop the operation. At first, the feed of raw materials and air to a reforming unit is stopped while continuing the supply of steam is continued. Then the gas in the system is purged by steam. At the point of time when the environmental condition, in which the abnormal combustion does not occur even if oxygen is supplied, is arranged, the steam purge is stopped air purge is started. As a result, the steam is removed from the system to avoid an undesired effect due to dew condensation.
