Title:
METHOD FOR PROCESSING SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000258874
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve color stain and image preservability and to considerably reduce contamination in the washing tank of an automatic processing machine by imagewise exposing a silver halide photographic sensitive material containing a specified compound and fixing it with a developing solution containing a specified developing agent and having a specified concentration of sulfurous acid.

A silver halide photographic sensitive material containing at least one of compounds of formulae I-III is imagewise exposed and fixed with a developing solution containing a developing agent of formula IV and having ≤0.4 mol/l concentration of sulfurous acid. The sensitive material is then washed with washing water containing an oxidizing agent. In the formula I, R1 is an atomic group of the formula -OX, X is H or the like, R2 and R3 are each halogen or the like and R4 is carboxyl or the like. In the formula II, R11 and R12 are each alkyl or the like and R13 and R14 are each H or the like. In the formula III, R1-R4 are each alkyl or the like and R5 and R6 are each sulfonic acid or the like. In the formula IV, R1 and R2 are each substituted alkyl or the like and M1 and M2 are each H or the like.
